Sim is a wounded soldier. When he is medically discharged and sent home, he finds that the war has left a more insidious impression on him than he first thought. Suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, he is unable to fully return to civilian life. At the mercy of his inner demons, he must search within himself to find the strength to overcome his afflictions before they get the better of him.

The original cut of Sim was my final programme production whilst working towards my Film Production BA at Northumbria University in 2011. The film was screened around the UK, in cinemas in Newcastle, Sheffield and London. It was a good production of my skills at the time but I feel there is a better film hidden within and I'm keen to draw it out! I've also had quite a slow year so far, so hurray for summer editing projects!
